Volleyball Tryouts for Junior Varsity and Varsity volleyball teams at Leeds High School will be Wednesday, 4/6 – Thursday 4/7 (3:30 – 5:00), and Sunday 4/10 (2:30 – 4:30). 

All interested female athletes in grades 6-11 are invited to attend and must sign up prior to tryouts.  Your attendance all 3 days is not mandatory, but if you are not involved in other sports for Leeds City School System it is highly encouraged. 

High School students need to sign-up in Coach Smith’s room and pick-up an information packet.  Middle School students need to sign up and pick up an information packet in the middle school office.  For any questions or for more information, please contact Coach Autumn Smith by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Leeds Volleyball Team Advances to Regionals PDF Print E-mail

LEEDS, AL - The Greenwave volleyball team defeated the B. B. Comer Lady Tigers in three matches to advance to the Area Tournament finals. They won a close first match 25-23 and then cruised on their next two sets, 25-15 and 25-12. The Greenwave then fell to Indian Springs in three sets (11-25, 23-25, 15-25). Greenwave players Danylle Everson and Camille McNeely were selected to the All-Tournament team.

The Greenwave volleyball team will advance to the Regional Tournament, held at Greensboro High School on October 16. The tournament begins at 10:00 a.m. . Leeds faces Greensboro to start the tournament.

LEEDS, AL - (August 23, 2010) The Leeds Greenwave lost their first game of the season to the B.B. Comer Tigers, three sets to one. Leeds lost the opening set 25-15 but, after a pep talk from Head Coach Autumn Smith, the Greenwave took the next set 25-15. The Tigers took the next set in a close 25-19 game. Leeds couldn't sustain a rally in the final set, losing to the Tigers, 25-15.

The Greenwave's next game is the Calera tournament,  this coming Saturday, August 28. Times will be announced when the bracket is finalized.
